Welcome to Thunderhook Fly-Ins, your gateway to the Wabakimi Provincial Park. Here at Thunderhook our goal remains simple; to provide our customers with the best possible wilderness fly-in fishing experience.

Thunderhook, which has been serving fly in fishermen for decades, has earned a great reputation from our customers throughout the years. We want to assure you we haven’t stopped. We are getting better.

There are currently many changes taking place within our business in the upcoming year. First we will be adding a new De-Havilland Beaver floatplane to our fleet to help us better serve flying needs. We will also be remodeling the interior of our “store” adding a beverage cooler with pop, snacks, as well as a big screen television complete with satellite.

We have also been upgrading facilities. Last fall, a new facility was constructed at Shabuskwia South. This location is fully modern, and sports a new state-of-the art solar system with generator backup. Also made were several upgrades at our Almos Bay location on Smoothrock Lake. These upgrades include; solar system, new shower, new flooring, roof, and of course a better screen porch. We are in the process of upgrading many of the boats to Lund 16ft with Yamaha 15 and 20HP electric start motors. The new boats will be coming on line early in the 2010 season.

What’s in store for summer 2010? We are working towards building and upgrading our outpost at Funger Lake, which will rival our camp at Shabuskwia South..
